Then I’m an Atheist!

Yesterday very strange thing happened in front of me. During lunch, one girl came and she served herself with the entire foods available, full dish she took 3 chapatis, 2 sabjis, rice, dal and added items which she brought from home. After having, half chapati she remembered that it was her fast on the occasion of Ekadashi so she left the plate. I stunned, she forgot about her fast so she wasted the FOOD because it was against the religion! This means in the name of religion one can waste the food while millions of people sleep hungry. And excuse me after having full breakfast and having little on lunch what was the meaning of remaining hungry and more than that wastage of full dish and what about she took the food in which hunger of two kids could be satisfied. I don’t understand these religion matters, what is greater humanity or religion practices which has got no rationality? I’m not against of anyone’s faith in religion, because our culture has built on great values of religion virtues, it builds the fountain of faith within us and that’s what gives us strength to fight the odds. But, I’m against of blindly following religion practices.

Now, my point is that if when 77% of India’s population does not get enough food and due to hunger child mortality ratio is even higher than some sub-Saharan countries, in such a situation rather than thanking God for his kindness that we have got basics to survive, we insult the human values by doing such things. It may seems very small matter but nooo…. according to me, this shows the picture of our society where human has got no values. We say we are most spiritual race in this world but I think we are the people who believe in show off. Such things are proof that we don’t respect the human dignity and spirituality starts by respecting the human values and not in following such ridiculous things. Spirituality means enlightenment, and how can we be enlighten without being compassionate towards the deprived. Even Bhagvad Geeta has taught us the secrets of Karma, don’t we believe in it? If not then we can’t be said religious. Then what practices we are following? Are these religion codes??? Nooooo, it’s only show off, it’s just to show that see people… I’m religious. If you believe this is the religion then I’m an Atheist!
